Blasphemy is Not a Crime
In Pakistan, the word “blasphemy” (gustakhi in Urdu) has become a weapon. It is used to silence free thought, to settle personal scores, to target minorities, and to instill fear in anyone who dares to think differently.
Behind every accusation is a human life: a student dragged out of his university and lynched, a Christian woman kept on death row for nearly a decade, a child accused over a misspelled word in her exam, a man with mental illness beaten to death. These are not just “cases”, these are people whose lives, families, and futures were destroyed by a law that should never have existed.
Our campaign is simple: to end Pakistan’s blasphemy laws.
We believe that no one should live in fear of prison, violence, or death for expressing an idea, asking a question, or belonging to the “wrong” faith.
But this campaign is not only about laws written on paper. It is about the culture of silence and fear that these laws have created. It is about the mobs emboldened to kill in the name of honor. It is about the minorities who live as second-class citizens. And it is about the voices, atheist, religious, secular, and humanist, who are all at risk of being silenced.
What We Do
We document cases of persecution and violence.
We share stories of those accused under blasphemy laws.
We provide resources and knowledge so the world cannot look away.
We create space for free thought and dissent through projects like Azad Soch (Freethought).
Why It Matters
Because silence helps the oppressors.
Because every person deserves dignity, safety, and freedom of belief.
Because ideas should never cost lives.
Join Us

Blasphemy is not a crime!
